Main projects in 2014

  • SENSUM – “Framework to integrate Space-based and In-Situ Sensing for dynamic Vulnerability and Recovery Monitoring” funded by: 7th framework program of the European commission, call “Space”. SENSUM will produce a methodology and a set of software tools useful for multi-resolution monitoring of vulnerability as well as for monitoring the level of preparedness for potential disasters. The project will also deal with the monitoring of post-disaster reconstruction based on current and future remote sensing technologies, along with a new approach to close observation.
  • MARSITE – “MARmara superSITE” funded by: 7th framework of the European Commission, call “Environment”. A project which goal is the practical realization in the Marmara Sea area of the GEO concept of Supersite, meaning a predefined area where close, remote and onsite surveys are focused, for the study geodynamic risk.
  • ECOSTRESS – funded by: DG ECHO. Extraction and management of information about coastal environment risk through Remote Sensing and “crowdsourcing”.
