The Department of Industrial Products is the branch of the Eucentre Foundation (EF) which deals with the analysis and evaluation of the seismic behaviour of structural components (such as isolators and dampers) and non-structural components, which are the result of an industrial production process.
Operating both for institutional and commercial partners, it offers services ranging from applied numerical to experimental research.
The research activity is mainly conducted in response to the institutional interests of stakeholders such as the Italian Civil Protection Department, the ReLUIS consortium and the European Community.
However, the knowledge acquired over the years allows supporting the needs of national and international companies (often industrial partners) in the development, prototyping and qualification of their products.
The experience gained in this field has allowed the EF laboratory to become a notified body for the execution of EN 15129:2009 tests and to be accredited by ACCREDIA according to the EN 17025:2005 standard.
The interests of the Department also include the development and installation of innovative structural monitoring systems, also supported by the Eucentre cloud platform.
