The on-site involvement of the Foundation continues on several fronts. On the whole 25 standard buildings and 11 long span buildings were assessed last week. In addition, activities within a TGS (Technical Group of Support, post Aedes) were carried out in order to assess the possible demolition of a few buildings with the firefighters. On the front of the management of temporary accommodation, Eucentre continues the support activities to the regions struck by the earthquakes (in particular the Umbria region) for the application of the DESIGNA system. As regards the technical and scientific post-event reconnaissance activities, following the series of earthquakes at the end of October, a second geotechnical engineering reconnaissance survey was conducted by the team of GEER, while an EERI-EUCENTRE-ReLUIS reconnaissance team is expected to start a new survey next week.
