From September 5 to 8, 2016, Eng. Francesca Bozzoni of the Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering section, led by Prof. Carlo G. Lai, took part on behalf of EUCENTRE in the post-event geotechnical engineering reconnaissance survey conducted by the team of GEER (Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance) Association. Following the coordination meeting held in Rome, the Italy-US GEER team, with expertise in geotechnical earthquake engineering, geology, seismology, geomatics, and structural engineering, carried out surveys in the Provinces of Rieti, Ascoli Piceno, L’Aquila and Perugia.

The activities carried out by the GEER team are illustrated in the technical report, titled Engineering Reconnaissance following the 2016 M 6.0 Central Italy Earthquake: Ver 2″ (22/11/2016).

For further details, see the page dedicated to the event in the website of GEER Association.
