Alberto Pavese is Associate Professor of Structural Engineering at the Department of Structural Mechanics at the University of Pavia. He took his Laurea degree at the University of Pavia (1987), his PhD in 1992 at the Politechnic of Milan and in 1995 he became Assistant Professor of Structural Engineering. His main research interests are: experimental methods and structural identification, diagnosis and modelling of monumental structures, seismic assessment of reinforced concrete bridges and buildings, development of expert systems for aided design and diagnosis of structures, design and development of testing systems for seismic engineering.
