. 2009 – 2013, Secretary General of GEM (www.globalquakemodel.org), a public-private non-profit Foundation charged by the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) with the task of developing a seismic risk model at world scale, through the undertaking of several global and regional projects on seismic hazard, exposure and vulnerability, as well as the development of open-source software.

. 2005 – 2009, Head of the Seismic Risk Section at the EUCENTRE (European Centre for Training and Research in Earthquake Engineering, www.eucentre.it), coordinating several scientific research and technical consultancy projects on (i) seismic risk and loss estimation at variable geographical scales (local, urban, regional, national) and (ii) assessment and mitigation of seismic vulnerability of reinforced concrete structures.
