Since its inception, the Eucentre Foundation has devoted a significant portion of its activities to supporting public institutions and governments in their efforts to prevent and manage seismic risk. This institutional commitment is reflected in its ongoing collaboration with local, regional, national, and supranational bodies, including the European Union. Eucentre believes that seismic safety is a collective responsibility requiring the expertise of scientific research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Over time, Eucentre has supported administrations in highly sensitive and complex contexts, from developing damage scenarios in the event of seismic activity to verifying the safety of buildings in emergencies. Technicians trained with the Foundation’s support often find themselves at the forefront, ready to assess the safety of homes, schools, hospitals, bridges and other strategic infrastructure. However, the commitment does not stop at emergency management. Eucentre also collaborates in the prevention and preparation phases, participating in research projects aimed at reducing risk, developing simulation models and systems for managing the needs of affected populations, and contributing to the definition of more up-to-date and informed technical regulations. Testing structural components and full-scale buildings provides institutions with objective data on which to base decisions, designs, and public investment.<\/span><\/p>\n

The effectiveness of this approach lies in the Foundation’s ability to combine scientific rigour with operational applicability, offering institutions solutions that are immediately usable, not just theoretical. Eucentre thus presents itself as a trusted technical partner capable of providing the tools needed to understand, address and mitigate risk.
