The DTS (Damper Test System) is a machine designed to mechanically characterise seismic dissipation devices, which reduce the stresses transmitted to structures during earthquakes. The DTS enables static, cyclic and dynamic tests to be performed on a variety of devices, including viscous, hysteretic, friction and magnetorheological dissipators, under realistic load conditions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to its ability to apply significant forces and displacements with precise control, the DTS enables the detailed evaluation of heat sinks’ effectiveness and resistance in realistic seismic scenarios. It is an essential tool for verifying the cyclic behaviour, energy dissipation capacity and long-term reliability of devices during the qualification phase and for research and development purposes. Results obtained from DTS testing support improvements to seismic protection technologies and the adoption of safer, more efficient solutions for buildings and infrastructure.<\/span><\/p>\n
