Methods such as finite element analysis (FEA) can be used to analyse non-linear phenomena, dynamic effects, material plasticity and fluid-structure interactions. Advances in software and computational capacity have enabled even large structures to be analysed in detail. Numerical modelling is now fundamental to assessing seismic safety, rehabilitating existing buildings, and designing new engineering works. In academic and professional settings, it informs design decisions by providing realistic and predictive simulations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the field of the advanced numerical modelling activities include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Numerical analysis of the seismic behaviour of structural and non-structural elements, and support for laboratory activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400; text-align: justify;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supporting the development and implementation of numerical and laboratory activities for innovative seismic protection systems.<\/span><\/li>\n<li
