Civil Protection exercises<\/h1>\n<\/div><\/div>

Civil Protection exercises are a highly relevant prevention tool, mainly allowing those involved to test intervention models in civil protection plans or procedures. Since the beginning of its activities, Eucentre has gained extensive experience in planning and executing Civil Protection exercises, both nationally and internationally. The services offered range from supporting the conception of the exercise and defining the type of exercise that best enables the primary objectives to be achieved, to defining the possible participants and the event to be simulated. This includes drafting the planning document, coordinating the execution of the exercise and carrying out the final evaluation.<\/p>\n

The following are some of the Civil Protection exercises that Eucentre has organised or participated in:<\/p>\n

Exercise EXE Spotorno 2024<\/em>
\nIt took place from 4 to 6 November 2024 in the municipalities of Spotorno and Bergeggi in the province of Savona.
\nThe focus was on UAS drones, with sessions on data acquisition in complex scenarios, territory analysis, management in multi-hazard contexts, and monitoring of protected areas such as the Marine Area of Bergeggi.
\nWith the support of the CIMA Foundation, the Liguria Region, the Fire Brigade and the local municipalities, there were theoretical sessions, field operations and a final debriefing to evaluate protocols and improvements.<\/p>\n

Exercise EXE Lomb.Est 2023<\/em>
\nDuring Civil Protection Week (10\u201314 October 2023) in 15 municipalities between Brescia, Cremona and Mantova.
\nThe objective was to test the regional post-earthquake damage assessment systems, involving the Lombardy Region, ANCI, the Civil Protection Service, fire brigades and field operators.<\/p>\n

Exercise EU-Modex 2016<\/em>
\nFrom 8 to 11 June 2016, the Eucentre Foundation participated in an international exercise in Austria as part of the EU-Modex project, together with the Friuli Venezia Giulia Civil Protection and technicians from Slovenia and Croatia. The activity involved simulating post-earthquake interventions and conducting structural assessments in real contexts.<\/p>\n

Exercise DR HOUSE 2013\u00a0<\/em>
\nFrom 16 to 18 April 2013, the final exercise of the DR HOUSE project took place in Alessandria, featuring an operational demonstration of the Italian ‘Build-Safe’ module for post-earthquake response. Coordinated by the Civil Protection, in collaboration with the Eucentre Foundation and the Fire Brigade, the exercise involved teams specialising in structural assessment and safety, simulating interventions in international emergency scenarios.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
