Developed within the Risk Scenarios Department, it is a framework that combines numerical modelling, geotechnical analysis, laboratory testing and multiscale monitoring.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Various methodologies and tools are used for the assessment, including:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>data collection from site tests (CPT, SPT and probes) and geological investigations;<\/li>\n<li>integration with localised digital terrain models;<\/li>\n<li>use of advanced calculation codes (Limit Equilibrium, Discrete Element Method (DEM), finite-difference or finite-element) for static and dynamic evaluations (with seismic input compatible with NTC);<\/li>\n<li>experimental validation of models is achieved through testing on full- or reduced-scale prototypes in the Eucentre laboratories;<\/li>\n<li>themes maps, safety factors, failure scenarios, expected displacements and recommendations for consolidation interventions are also produced.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>Feasibility project for the reconstruction of Arquata del Tronto.<\/em><br \/>\nThe Foundation provided technical and scientific support to the Special Office for Reconstruction (USR) of the Marche Region in drafting the Technical and Economic Feasibility Project for reconstructing the historic centre of Arquata del Tronto. This is one of the municipalities that was most affected by the 2016 earthquake sequence.<br \/>\nTaking into account the complex orographic and slope characteristics of the site, the design solution for consolidating the entire Arquata del Tronto hill is innovative. This design favours a system of permanent active tie rods on opposing walls at different heights, minimising the use of traditional blind tie rods. The overall layout includes approximately 400 tie rods, with a total length of around 13 km.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"wpb_column vc_column_container\"><div
