The Foundation is able to work on a wide spectrum, with a numerical and experimental integrated approach useful to the definition of guidelines and regulations, or to develop intervention priority for buildings and infrastructures.<br \/>\nThe Eucentre Foundation\u00a0 activities are addressed both to private industries and to public institutions, offering personalized solutions in accordance with the needs of customers.<br \/>\nInformation obtained through surveys and monitoring, when integrated with details of structures, plants and the production site in general, provides a solid basis for vulnerability assessments, i.e. the probability of damage following a given disaster event. The main tools used for vulnerability assessments are numerical modelling and\/or laboratory experimentation. The optimal strategy is chosen based on the subject of the assessment and its size, unless specific approaches are required by regulatory requirements (e.g. UNI EN 1473:2016 for control room components necessary for managing emergency situations).<br \/>\nVulnerability assessment requires the use of appropriate numerical models when broadening the scope from a single component to a system composed of structure and plant, or even entire production sites or widespread networks composed of several sites. Thanks to its expertise, Eucentre can develop numerical models or assist designers with vulnerability assessments regardless of the scale of the problem, especially in critical situations requiring specific expertise. Furthermore, Eucentre can conduct experimental tests, both on-site and in its own laboratories, to characterise the seismic response of structures, components, and plants. Large-scale experimentation, both in the laboratory and on site, has always been one of the Foundation&#8217;s core activities. Eucentre&#8217;s laboratories are accredited by ACCREDIA for the seismic qualification of non-structural elements (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eucentre.it\/en\/certifications-and-accreditations\/\">certifications and accreditations<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The main activities carried out by the Foundation are listed below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">numerical analysis of seismic behavior and support to the activities of the laboratory of structural and non-structural elements;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">development and support to the numerical and experimental activity for the study of innovative systems of seismic protection;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">numerical evaluation of the seismic response of precast or composite elements;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">evaluation of the seismic vulnerability of masonry buildings, numerical analysis to support the experimental activities and development of reinforcement techniques;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">numerical analysis of steel structures;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">numerical analysis of timber structures;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">support in the qualitative assessment of vulnerability of the building stock with the creation of a database (industries, universities, etc.);<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\" data-end=\"787\">support in the assessment of seismic vulnerability and assessment of reinforced concrete and precast structures;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"160\"
