The U-AInSPECT project at Eucentre has won the ICAERUS PULL 2 Open Call.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Eucentre Foundation was selected as one of the winners of the PULL 2 Open Call of the ICAERUS<\/strong> project for its U-AInSPECT<\/strong> project. This achievement confirms our commitment to developing innovative technological solutions for infrastructure safety and earthquake engineering<\/strong> more generally.
\nThe ICAERUS PULL 2 Open Call Pitch Event<\/strong>, which officially marked the start of the U-AInSPECT project, was held online on 3 February 2025<\/strong>. The project will run for 12 months and aims to develop an advanced drone- and AI-based system for infrastructure inspection and monitoring<\/strong>, focusing on its application and impact in rural areas.<\/strong><\/p>\n

What is U-AInSPECT?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The U-AInSPECT project aims to innovate and improve the inspection and monitoring of infrastructure, particularly in rural areas<\/strong> where the low redundancy of transport networks makes ensuring bridge safety essential.<\/p>\n

The main objective of U-AInSPECT is to develop an innovative, drone-based artificial intelligence service for bridge inspection. This will optimise damage assessment for both routine inspections and emergency response scenarios (e.g. after an earthquake). This will be achieved by:<\/p>\n
