Testing has always played a fundamental role in scientific research, in validating models and theories, identifying structural characteristics and defining the performance of systems and components. In structural engineering, and particularly in seismic engineering, testing has progressively become essential thanks to new technologies that facilitate both test execution and data acquisition and processing.
\nThe more than 100 people who work and collaborate with Eucentre bring together a range of professional, scientific, and cultural skills that have enabled Eucentre to grow its reputation and its role at national and international levels in the field of seismic engineering.
\nThis growth has certainly also been possible thanks to the laboratories, which individually and collectively represent a unique research and service facility in Europe and one of the best in the world.
\nBy exploiting the most innovative technologies, the laboratories enable structures and materials to be tested in conditions that closely resemble real-life scenarios. The performance of the experimental equipment enables large-scale prototypes to be tested in both static and dynamic regimes, thus reducing uncertainties in interpretation and correlation with real conditions. This has grown since the initial investment in 2003.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
