The Seminar corresponds to the 18th edition of the traditional ROSE Seminar, during which Master and PhD students in &#8220;Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology&#8221; and &#8220;Hydrological, Weather, Geological, Chemical and Environmental Risks&#8221; of the School are given the opportunity to present and discuss their research work to an audience of international experts.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In addition to standard presentations on research work carried out at the School, the Seminar will continue the tradition of inviting a prominent scientist to deliver a keynote lecture on a given contemporary and highly relevant topic in the field of Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Seismology.<br \/>\nAt this year\u2019s event, the keynote address entitled &#8220;Twenty-three years from Kobe &#8211; Japanese research and practice on collapse, performance, functionality, and resilience&#8221; will be delivered by Prof. Masayoshi Nakashima, formely at the University of Kyoto, Japan.<\/p>\n<p>During the second and last day there will be the graduation ceremony and awarding ceremony of the <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eucentre.it\/the-nigel-priestley-international-prize\/?lang=en\">Nigel Priestley International <\/a>Prize 2018<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You may download
