The Eucentre Foundation has officially started work on installing a photovoltaic system, marking an important step towards energy sustainability. This project, realised in collaboration with RiESCo S.p.A.<\/a>, represents a significant investment in renewable energy and a concrete commitment to reducing environmental impact.<\/p>\n

Photovoltaic Plant Details<\/strong><\/p>\n

The photovoltaic system, with a peak power of 176 kWp, will be installed on the roofs of the Eucentre buildings. The modules used, Longi LR5-54HTH, guarantee an efficiency of 22.5% and a long lifetime, with a 25-year guarantee on energy production. These panels are chosen for their reliability and excellent performance even in challenging environmental conditions.<\/p>\n

The energy produced by the plant is estimated at 189,000 kWh per year, an energy saving of 121,600 kWh compared to current consumption. This translates into a reduction of CO\u2082 emissions, contributing significantly to the fight against climate change.<\/p>\n

Advanced Technology and Sustainability<\/strong><\/p>\n

The inverters used in the system are supplied by Sungrow, known for their high efficiency and reliability. These devices, with an efficiency of up to 98.5%, ensure that the solar energy collected by the panels is converted into electricity with minimal losses. Choosing high-quality inverters is crucial to optimising the overall performance of the system and ensuring a long-term return on investment.<\/p>\n

The project involves the use of advanced monitoring systems for the remote control of energy production and self-consumption, enabling the optimisation of the use of locally produced energy and further reducing dependence on external energy sources.<\/p>\n

Economic and Environmental Impact<\/strong><\/p>\n

The installation of the new photovoltaic system will not only reduce energy costs for our Foundation, with an estimated annual cost savings of EUR 34,840, but will also contribute to environmental sustainability. The renewable energy produced on-site will reduce the use of fossil fuels, helping to decrease greenhouse gas emissions and improve air quality.<\/p>\n

In addition, the plant is designed to last, with an annual production drop of less than 0.7 per cent, ensuring a clean and reliable source of energy for decades.<\/p>\n

The start of work on installing photovoltaic panels at the Fondazione Eucentre represents a significant step towards energy and environmental sustainability. This project will not only help reduce energy costs and CO\u2082 emissions but also serve as a concrete example of how research institutions can embrace green technologies for a more sustainable future.<\/p>\n
