On June 18, 2026, the Eucentre Foundation\u2019s headquarters hosted a technical training session for laboratory technicians, organised by Hilti Italia as part of the partnership the two organisations launched in recent months. The day marked a concrete step forward in the collaboration to integrate advanced technological solutions into the daily activities of the Foundation\u2019s laboratories.<\/p>\n

The training was led by Simone Lanteri, an account manager with twenty-one years\u2019 experience at Hilti and the Test Lab project lead, and Daniele Ranieri, a solution consultant <\/em>responsible for the company\u2019s digital solutions in the region. The visit forms part of Test Lab, the new initiative launched by Hilti Italia in January 2026, aimed at developing specialised dialogue with testing laboratories and universities. \u201cWe realised that it is essential to understand what Eucentre does to identify the most suitable applications and then provide you with interesting solutions<\/em>,\u201d said Lanteri.<\/span><\/p>\n

On-site training and digital management of the equipment fleet<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The training was organised around two main areas: The first focused on the correct use of the hire equipment delivered in previous months: Hilti managers demonstrated the optimal operating procedures and the safety systems integrated into the products directly on site. The second part introduced the Hilti On Track service, a digital platform for tracking and managing the tool fleet; the system allows equipment to be allocated across the warehouse, fixed workshops, and mobile workshops while maintaining a centralised overview of its status and location. \u201cThe active batteries communicate directly with Eucentre technicians via the app and report their wear and tear status<\/em>,\u201d explained Lanteri, highlighting the level of digital integration.<\/span><\/p>\n

The PS300 rebar scanner and the structural ground-penetrating radar<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

The PS300, a scanner for detecting ferromagnetic elements within masonry structures, received particular attention among the tools presented during the day. The tool helps estimate the thickness of the concrete and the size of the reinforcement, working in quick-scan mode for taking samples and in a mode that saves data internally, which allows for creating official documents. The PS300 also serves as the gateway to the Hilti X Scan PS 1000 structural ground-penetrating radar, which combines the visualisation of material anomalies with that of ferromagnetic elements to provide a comprehensive assessment of a structure\u2019s condition.<\/span><\/p>\n

Next steps: dust extraction systems and digital onboarding<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

On the sidelines of the training session, Lanteri gathered feedback from the technicians on their needs for dust-extraction systems during operations. Vacuum cleaners and demolition hammers have already been supplied; further tools and solutions will be presented and demonstrated in the coming weeks. Daniele Ranieri has simultaneously begun registering users on the online platform for managing equipment handling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lanteri\u2019s role within this partnership is one of cross-functional coordination: \u2018I identify needs, develop solutions and coordinate departments by establishing points of contact between the two companies<\/em>,\u2019 he explained. Ranieri, as a solution consultant<\/em>, will support Eucentre in managing the lifecycle of its equipment fleet, conducting regular checks to ensure the available equipment remains suitable for evolving applications, and exploring the possibility of extending digital services to the Fieldwire and Crew Centre platforms.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
