Since 8 January 2026, Regulation (EU) 2024\/3110<\/strong> has been fully applicable across Europe. The new CPR (Construction Products Regulation)<\/strong> reshapes the rules for the CE marking of construction products. The Declaration of Performance yields to the Declaration of Performance and Conformity (DoPC)<\/strong>, which is more comprehensive and available in digital format. Every product will feature a Digital Passport<\/strong> accompanying it throughout its entire life cycle. An eighth basic requirement (Annex I, Regulation (EU) 2024\/3110), dedicated to emissions into the outdoor environment, is added to the seven established basic requirements. Furthermore, the Regulation introduces a new verification system for environmental performance alongside minimum sustainability criteria for public procurement: a fundamental shift that transforms sustainability into a structural criterion rather than an optional feature.<\/p>\n

CE Marking and European Technical Assessment (ETA) Pathways<\/strong><\/h2>\n

For manufacturers developing innovative solutions not yet covered by a harmonised standard, the pathway remains the European Technical Assessment (ETA)<\/strong>: a tailored route requiring thorough characterisation of product performance, beginning with experimental testing.<\/p>\n
