The Eucentre Foundation offers an integrated system of advanced services in the field of Advanced Surveying & Digital Modelling, dedicated to the surveying, digitization, inspection, and structural monitoring of buildings and infrastructures.
Through the combined use of high-resolution drones, laser scanners, diagnostic sensors, and satellite technologies, Eucentre is able to acquire three-dimensional point clouds, geometric and material data, and geospatial information. These datasets form the basis for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and for the assessment of the conservation state and structural safety of structures.
The activities go beyond simple 3D reconstruction and include visual and instrumental inspection of structures, material characterization, and the identification of anomalies or damage, integrating all the acquired information within interoperable digital models.
The most recent Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning techniques are applied to the automatic detection of structural damage, using both proximity data and satellite observations. Depending on the scale of analysis – whether territorial or related to a single infrastructure – and thanks to the integration of on-site instrumental data, it is possible to obtain essential information for assessing vulnerability and the evolution of damage following seismic or other natural events.
Surveying, inspection, and BIM modeling activities provide the foundation for the creation of Digital Twins of buildings and infrastructures. These digital tools integrate geometric, structural, and environmental data, enabling continuous performance monitoring, predictive lifecycle management of assets, and optimized planning of risk mitigation interventions.
The integration of digital surveying, structural inspection, satellite monitoring, artificial intelligence, and information modeling contributes to the digital transition of the construction sector, thereby enhancing the resilience and safety of the built environment against natural and human-induced hazards.
