Alberto Bottoni has been technical coordinator and laboratory technician at the Eucentre Foundation in Pavia since 2016.
He obtained his technical diploma from the ITIS CARAMUEL Technical Industrial Institute in Vigevano, specialising in Mechanics, Mechatronics and Energy.
His main duties within the Foundation as technical coordinator relate to coordinating the set-up of experimental tests and managing the damper tester and the 6-degree-of-freedom table.
He holds numerous certifications and technical qualifications that guarantee his expertise in laboratory and field operations.
In particular:
- Occupational Safety: General and specific training for high-risk workers, training for supervisors, a course on the safe use of industrial gases;
- Overhead Crane Licence: Qualification as an overhead crane operator;
- First Aid and Firefighting: Training as a first-aid and medium-risk fire-fighting operator;
- Forklift licence: Qualification to operate self-propelled industrial forklifts (forklift trucks) and forklift trucks with rotating telescopic arms;
- Working at Height Qualification: Operating ladders and scaffolding;
- Aerial Platforms: Training in the use of aerial platforms with and without stabilisers;
- Transport: Road Transport of Dangerous Goods Course;
- Welding: Specialisation and Qualification Course for Welders, in accordance with UNI EN 9606-1:2017 Standards.
He is also responsible for test set-ups for tests on vibrating tables, seismic isolators and cyclic tests on retaining walls, the execution of destructive and non-destructive tests, the application of structural reinforcement methods, the installation and calibration of structural and infrastructural monitoring systems, and the creation, modification and maintenance of hydraulic and electrical systems.
