He graduated in Civil Engineering from the University of Pavia in 2013 and obtained his PhD, also from the University of Pavia, in 2016.
He is currently a tenure-track assistant professor (RTDb) at the Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the University of Pavia. His main research activities focus on steel structures, industrial structures, and non-structural elements. He also works on advanced numerical modelling, developing finite element software based on innovative formulations and discrete element approaches.
He has participated, also as research unit coordinator, in several nationally funded projects — mainly experimental — on steel storage racks (PRIN2022) and industrial plant piping systems (INAIL – BRIC 2022). Since 2025, he has been the coordinator of the SAVERACK project, funded by the European Community under the RFCS framework, which foresees the development of dissipative devices for enhancing the seismic behaviour of steel storage racks.
