Ilaria Senaldi graduated in 2007 in Architectural Engineering at the University of Pavia and received her PhD in Seismic Engineering at the University Institute of Advanced Studies of Pavia (IUSS) in 2012.
Currently she is a Post-Doc at the DiCAr of the University of Pavia and collaborates with the Eucentre Foundation.
Her research activity is devoted to the study of the seismic vulnerability of historical masonry buildings, to the analysis of the seismic response of building aggregates in urban contexts and to the evaluation of the effectiveness of retrofit interventions on existing masonry buildings.
She contributed to several experimental campaigns and shaking table tests of masonry buildings and has dealt with the processing, analysis and interpretation of the acquired experimental data.
Ilaria took part to fast-assessment post-event surveys following the earthquakes of L’Aquila in 2009, Christchurch (NZ) of 2010-2011 and Central Italy of 2016-2017.
She is also co-author of several papers published on international scientific journals.

Eucentre is a non-profit private law foundation whose mission is to conduct research and provide training and services in earthquake and safety engineering
Eucentre promotes science, research and innovation for the benefit of the community, offering targeted methodologies and concrete solutions for prevention, safety and resilience. It collaborates with institutions and companies to disseminate competencies for the common good.
