On September 26th and 27th, 2025, Pavia will once again host SHARPER – The European Researchers’ Night, a European Commission initiative under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. The event aims to highlight the value of scientific research and to foster dialogue between researchers and citizens.
This year too, the Eucentre Foundation will take part with two key initiatives combining outreach and seismic risk prevention.
On Friday, September 26th, from 2 p.m. to midnight, Eucentre researchers will welcome visitors at the Eucentre stand at the University of Pavia, located in the Cortile dei Caduti (ground floor and first floor). This will be an opportunity to learn more about the Foundation’s activities, projects and expertise in earthquake engineering and resilience.
On Saturday, September 27th, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Eucentre headquarters (Via Adolfo Ferrata 1, Pavia)will host the interactive workshop “Earthquakes in the Laboratory: Learning to Prevent”. Designed for audiences of all ages, this workshop provides an opportunity to explore the key features of earthquakes and their impact on people and buildings through a realistic simulation.
Admission is free, but registration is required (for adults and children alike). Three time slots are available, with a maximum of 40 participants per slot:
