Since the beginning of its activities, EUCENTRE has aimed to promote, support, and foster training and research in the field of seismic risk reduction through various initiatives. Among these is the training of professionals with strong scientific and technical skills in earthquake engineering, with particular focus on seismology, geology, geotechnics, material and structural behavior, structural analysis, design of new structures, and assessment and retrofitting of existing structures, including in emergency situations.
In this context, EUCENTRE, in collaboration with the Order of Engineers of Pavia, organizes 8-hour Short Courses that address specialized topics related to seismic design.
These courses are specifically aimed at professionals, technicians, and public officials working in the construction sector who are interested in understanding and deepening their knowledge of the behavior of structures in seismic areas, as well as in acquiring the necessary tools to design and assess such structures. The EUCENTRE Foundation has been included in the register of accredited training providers with registration number 1321 dated December 5, 2022, pursuant to the Regional Resolution (DGR) of Lombardy Region No. 2412 of October 26, 2011. EUCENTRE is accredited in Section B of the regional register, which allows the organization to offer professional specialization courses, continuing education, lifelong learning, and qualifying training programs.
