Training is one of the most important tools for building a safer and more resilient society in the face of natural disasters. In the seismic field, prevention can only exist if supported by solid and shared knowledge, and it is precisely on this principle that the educational commitment of the Eucentre Foundation is based.
Since the beginning of its activity, the Foundation has been promoting and developing training initiatives addressed to a diversified audience: young researchers, professionals, public administration technicians and Civil Protection operators. The aim is twofold: on the one hand, to train new generations of experts capable of contributing to scientific innovation in the field of earthquake engineering and risk management; on the other hand, to strengthen the skills of those who work daily on the territory, integrating knowledge with practice.
Eucentre organises specialised training courses, which represent a meeting point between the research and professional worlds. The topics covered range from seismic design to structural vulnerability assessment, from technical regulations to emergency management, with a constant focus on scientific updates and teaching quality.
To support undergraduate and postgraduate training, the Foundation actively collaborates with the two Pavia universities, the Scuola Universitaria Superiore di Pavia (IUSS) and the University of Pavia, offering undergraduate, master’s and PhD students the opportunity to develop their studies at Eucentre. It also enables both students and professionals to benefit from technical texts, scientific journals and materials of international value in its specialist library.
Eucentre is a non-profit private law foundation whose mission is to conduct research and provide training and services in earthquake and safety engineering
Eucentre promotes science, research and innovation for the benefit of the community, offering targeted methodologies and concrete solutions for prevention, safety and resilience. It collaborates with institutions and companies to disseminate competencies for the common good.
