Since 2016, the EUCENTRE Foundation has been qualified as a UAS operator for operations in the Open and Specific categories, in accordance with EASA and ENAC regulations (EASA Operator Code: ITA9j978e5drtihq).
The Foundation’s Drone Unit is composed of pilots and qualified technical personnel and has a heterogeneous fleet, selected to ensure efficiency, safety, and versatility across various operational missions. The complementary features of the drones enable targeted responses to monitoring, inspection, and analysis needs in the civil sector, including, in particular, visual surveys of damage to structures and infrastructure, 3D reconstructions, and rapid mapping of areas affected by an event (e.g., an earthquake).
Equipment and Skills:
Fleet of aircraft:
- 6 multi-rotor (0.249 kg < MTOM < 1.05 kg), all equipped with QR Code Pro;
- 2 aircraft with class marking according to Regulation (EU) 945/2019: C1 and C2.
Additional technical systems:
- Remote identification system (FlyID).
Personnel:
- 4 UAS pilots with Open category certificates and STS-specific scenarios;
- 2 UAS pilots with Open category certificates;
- Advanced training modules: SORA 2.5, CRM, aeronautical communications.
