Come parte del programma “Learning from Earthquakes” (LFE), l’Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI) si è unita al Centro Europeo di Ricerca e Formazione in Ingegneria Sismica (EUCENTRE) ed alla Rete dei Laboratori Universitari di Ingegneria Sismica (ReLUIS) per una seconda visita tecnica di ricognizione danni nelle aree in Centro Italia colpite dalla sequenza sismica del 2016.
La ricognizione si è svolta dall’8 al 12 maggio 2016; si tratta della seconda missione del team EERI-EUCENTRE-ReLUIS dopo quella svolta nel settembre del 2016.
Scopi principali della ricognizione EERI – EUCENTRE – ReLUIS del maggio 2017: raccogliere ulteriori informazioni dopo le sequenze simica di ottobre e gennaio e capire gli effetti del terremoto su strutture rinforzate prima degli eventi sismici.
