DAVIDE BOLOGNINI

Experimental Techniques Department
I started working at Eucentre Foundation about 20 years ago. Currently I am involved in design of structures, of seismic experimental tests and of facilities for experimental tests, signal acquisition and processing, conducting systems for dynamic tests on damping devices and large dynamic restraints, modeling and vulnerability assessment of structures, analysis, training, dissemination.
I have also been involved in:
  • coordination of a research area (for which I managed numerical and experimental projects on vulnerability assessments of precast structures on behalf of the Italian Civil Protection and private companies);
  • management of training activities (organizer and speaker of courses for designers focused on the seismic design of precast structures);
  • specialized technical publishing (editor of a scientific journal concerning the seismic design of Italian structures);
  • post-seismic damage and habitability assessments (member of the Working Group established by the Decree of the Head of the Department of Civil Protection dated March 5, 2012 rep. 827 for the Compilation of the Post-Earthquake Damage and Habitability Assessment Sheet for Buildings with Precast or Large Span Structures (GL-AeDES)).

Previously, he has done both programming support activities for finite element codes for nonlinear static and dynamic analysis of masonry and reinforced concrete structures and consulting for technical studies in designing large span precast structures.

 

He is the author and co-author of more than ninety publications, including scientific journal and conference papers, book chapters and research reports.
He is a reviewer for Bulletin of Earthquake Engineering, Journal of Structural Engineering, Engineering Structures, Materials and Design, and Advances in Civil Engineering.
